About Me

Hello! I'm Liz, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in New Jersey. I've worked in public schools for over 20 years, specializing in early language development and students with autism and/or auditory processing difficulty. I have also had the opportunity to work with students of all skill levels from ages four months to 21 years old.
One of the questions I am asked by caregivers most frequently is about what toys and games they can use at home to engage their learners while working on speech and language skills. Over the years, I have created a long list of engaging toys and games, along with easy-to-follow lessons targeting specific skills. I’ve included a general description of skills to target with each product, but if you’re interested in any of the lesson plans, please send me an email letting me know what skills/products you’re interested in, and I’m happy to send them to you at no cost. I’m looking forward to sharing with you and your learners!
If you have any additional questions, I am happy to offer additional support for individual learners. Please get in touch at: liz@speechtherapytoybox.org.

While I stand behind these recommendations, I am not able to predict whether each product will be helpful for your learner in particular, and am not making any recommendations as to the safety or success of your individual learner. It's important to me to recognize and respect individuality in all learners.

Products here are linked to my Amazon Shop, and I have clarified whether I have used the exact product or a similar product. I earn a small commission (1-3%) for each product I sell through these links, so if you find this information useful, I would appreciate you buying it through my link. However, I have given a small sample of each product, so if you find something that is a better fit for your learner, I hope you’ll still try the lessons!
